OGKush The Alien Releases Powerful New Single “We Still Rise” Inspired by Survivors of Abuse
An emotional encounter on Lake George becomes the spark for an anthem of resilience.
Lake George, NY – August 2025 – OGKush The Alien has released a deeply moving new single, “We Still Rise,” a song born from a real-life experience that brought the Alien face-to-face with the courage of survivors of domestic abuse.
The inspiration struck after the Alien Collective collaborated with a counselor who works tirelessly with women who have endured the trauma of abuse. Together, they organized a special boat cruise on Lake George — a serene afternoon designed to give these women a rare moment of peace, safety, and freedom on the water.
“It was humbling,” The Aliens recall. “These women stepped onto that boat carrying invisible scars, but they also carried incredible strength. The trust they showed by coming aboard, knowing we would protect them, was more powerful than anything we have ever witnessed.”
That moment stayed with us long after the boat docked. Within days, the words and melody of “We Still Rise” began to take shape — a song that does more than acknowledge the pain of the past; it celebrates the unbreakable spirit that pushes survivors toward healing and happiness.
With heartfelt lyrics and a soaring chorus, “We Still Rise” stands as a tribute to every woman who has faced fear and found the strength to overcome it. It’s both a message of solidarity and a reminder that their stories, their voices, and their futures matter.
“This song isn’t about pity,” OGKush says. “It’s about power. It’s about hope. It’s about honoring the women who refuse to be defined by what happened to them — because they are so much more than that.”
“We Still Rise” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
